2 Replies and 2961 Views Accuracy and time response CR4100 and CR2DARL-500  2961  2 Started by  Samuel Fonseca Soto We are setting up a power logging station and we would like to know if we would get better accuracy and better response time with a CR4470 than a metering current transformer CR2DARL-500 We are able to read 0-10 VDC or up to 5A signals. Any of the monitored equipment will be consuming more than 30A. Any orientation will be appreciated.

1 Replies and 3001 Views CR4220-400  3001  1 Started by  Paul Rogers About 6 months ago we installed a CR4220-400 and the FLC of the motor it is on is 130A (checked with a handheld ampmeter) but the HMI display reads up to 424A. We have checked out the analog input card and it is ok and checked and double checked the ratio for the 4-20ma signal and it is ok. This CR4220 is on the motor side of a soft start instead of an across the line starter, we just wanted to know if this might be causing any problems before we replace the CR4220. Any advice Thanks

1 Replies and 3144 Views High Thermal Drift of CR5310-600  3144  1 Started by  Arseniy V We have a few CR5310-600 voltage transducers that are rated at 200ppm/C but we measured much higher thermal drift (we used calibrated oven, calibrated Fluke 8842A DMM, and calibrated powersupply). 1 Replies and 3013 Views Windings in CR8348-2500-N  3013  1 Started by  Wolf Homma I recently cut open a CR8348-2500-N. It appears that the windings are brought on in layers. From examining the design I concluded that there must be an 'upper' copper layer close to the hole on the CT. Naturally, this layer is closer to the bus bar going through the hole than the 'buried' layers underneath. From that it should follow that the CT is not a perfectly symmetrical component, if you consider the capacitance from the primary (high-voltage) bus bar to the 'upper' copper winding being hi...

1 Replies and 2895 Views Metering Class CTs  2895  1 Started by  Ed Lampe I see that the 50:5 CT's have a lower accuracy than the 100:5 CT's. Specifically the CR2DA series. Would I achieve higher accuracy by using a 100:5 and passing the metered wire through a second time thereby creating a 50:5 My max current will always be less than 50A. Thank You.

3 Replies and 2980 Views What to choose CR5411S-300 or CR5211S-300?  2980  3 Started by  johannes myhre I want to use CR5411S-300 for a battery testing setup (w. NI labView) Is this a good choice for automated measure of charging and discharging, 100ADC to -250ADC The input device (NI) has -10 10VDC diff. input. I read in your pdf info that CR5210/20S Series is 'ideal for battery charging applciations' But I don't think this will work good for my setup, with average DC value and simulated battery use (rapid changes charge/discharge) Please advice

1 Replies and 2818 Views CR4110 supply voltage  2818  1 Started by  Pete Stoneberg We've got a bunch of CR products, like the 4110s, 4510's, and 6610's. I've got power supplies to give them 24v, but my Edaq can give 15v. The 24v power give a lot of noise on the freq and voltage transducers. I tried 'em at 15v Edaq power, andth esignal is much nicer. What are the problems running the transducers at lower supply voltage Thanks, Pete

How to calculate phase angle error in theoretically for resistive burden (Non inductive). Example : 1:500 Turns ratio, 10A/0.02A, Burden = 50 ohms, DCR = 27 ohms. For this example how to calculate phase angle error for this CT. Pls help with formula...Advance thanks for ur help.

3 Replies and 3005 Views Question on CR 5395 current relay  3005  3 Started by  Jeff McIntosh I am looking at this current relay in the DC version to be used in a circuit to sense the current going to a 1/8hp 90 VDC permenant magnet motor. The current will be 2 amps or less and need to energize a panel lamp when the motor is running along with a future interlock to shut the system doen on a motor interruption. Will the CR 5395 do this

1 Replies and 3240 Views 603 series details  3240  1 Started by  Evran Zihnioglu I am interested in 603 series split core transformer. I have some questions about the product; 1. What is the difference between 603 and 603D. 2. In the datasheet, it is mentioned that the product can work 50-400Hz frequency range. I will use this transformer where maximum frequency could be 430Hz theoratically. So I am wondering that What will be the attenuation level above 400Hz. Could I use this product in the specified frequency 3. In the datasheet of the product, ...

1 Replies and 3617 Views DC Hall Effect Current Transducer frequency response  3617  1 Started by  Chris Penrose The product I am testing produces 24V switched (PWM) at 20kHz to supply 200A DC current into a 0.12ohm load in series with a 1mH inductor. The current is a 20kHz triangle wave. To calibrate this current I am currently using a 200A / 100mV shunt into a 6.5 digit DMM (mV). I would like to use the CR5210-300 however I am concerned about what it will do with the 20kHz component. (Ideally it will provide a accurate average current). Any ideas
