I'm using a pair of CR8410-1000 CTs to monitor a circuit in a distribution panel, which will not exceed 15A (15A breakers) Therefore these 20A Ir CTs seemed to be the right choice. I wish to measure their output via an ADC which has an input range of 0-5V, and therefore I've biased the input by 2.5V. I notice, however, that the CR8410-1000 CTs have a Vmax of 2.1Vrms, and the datasheet suggests that the burden resistor should be chosen to limit V across it such that V < Vl < Vmax. In other words, the Vrms across my burden resistor will be quite a bit smaller than the ADC's range, thus reducing my measurement resolution. What's the right solution here, should I choose something like the 50A CR8449-1000 with a higher Vmax? What happens if a larger burden resistor is used with the CR8410, does it just go nonlinear in the output, burn up, or what? :) Thanks, -Eric
